A nicely written book for beginners as well as experienced designers. The clear theoretical explanations combined with practical tutorials make this book stand among other books on the same subject. Even though it uses BS codes for the tutorials, still it gives extensive insight to the problems, which can be applied to any codes, for example, prying analysis of bolts. When it comes to fatigue design, the author doesn't cover much. That may be a small demerit of this book, but if any body looks for static design with respect to BS codes, this book will fulfill the expectation.
