Also he does not have the MOST ingenious techniques that allowed the human civilization to bootstrap
up from low precision. It is stupid to learn how to use sophisticated electronic and optical instruments
to do mechanical alignment.

If you Arabs and Muslims want to progress, for the sake of knowledge, you MUST figure out, how
to produce precision. How to bootstrap up. You must learn how to build the industrial infrastructure
from ground up. The answers are there. You must look at the patent literature and search like crazy.
Read the patents, which are often written in tortuous and vague language. Use your brain and do
some experiments. This is the job for a batchelor or master thesis in the Mechanical Engineering
department of some Arab or muslim university. Some student must take this as a thesis project
and finish in 9 months to produce a master piece.

This handbook is purposely written with a style of cognitive dissonance.
The author's intentions are malicious. He has written what americans call "strip tease".
It is an advertisment for his consulting and training business.

That is why I tell you now. You can do it. If N J Dawood can summarize Ibne Khaldun's three volumes
into one volume, you can summrize this crap in 50 pages and add more brilltiant ideas accumulated
from papers, patents and other books and write a masterpiece in 100 to 200 pages.

I will tell you how to do it:

(1) accumulate all other books on this subject, all the old books.
(2) accumulate all the papers you can find on this.
(3) simultaneously download all the patents from espacenet on alignment.
(4) start reading them and find an advisor in your university and ask for a small lab space.
(5) start writing the notes in hand. Make sketches. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Make very well labelled pictures with wiggly arrows. The best book to teach you how to
summarize is called

ESSENTIAL PRE UNIVERSITY PHYSICS by P. M. Whelan and T. Robinson (Paperback - 1977)
This book will teach you the style of drawing diagrams I am talking about.
