This book is in reference style. It aims at cover the "wide and fascinating field of radar techniques and systems". However, while it does cover a wide field of topics, its quality is not delivered.I read a few chapters and come to this conclusion. There are too many typos and unclear terms which may confuse a reader--at least I had a difficulty to sort it out, and I am an experienced radar engineer. For example, one day I picked up the book when it happened to be handy, and read a few pages of its chapter 3 (CFAR). From pages 185 to 187, the problems I noted are as follows: (1) Typos: (a) "P(z)" in Eq. 3.6 should be "p(z)". (b) "-pi/4z" in Eq.3.6 should be "-(pi/4)z". (2) Confusions: (a) Figure 3.1 to 3.3: the upper line from the "delay" box seems to me should be placed at before the box. (b) The term "E(.)" in most books means the mean of a random number, here it means variance. (c) The term "b" in Eq. 3.15 is never defined. (d) The term "c" in Eq. 3.19 is never defined. I expect so many problems may exist in a manuscript, but definitely not in a reference style book. Similar problems exist in some other chapters. This is a huge book by several profs. I guess some chapter might be better
